Oscar Calvo a previous award recipient returns to the 2011 Melbourne Design Awards. The awards provide recognition across the design spectrum and are open to design professionals, as well as those who commission design.

The awards are cross-disciplinary, celebrating and honouring the role of design and the skills of designers, while recognising all aspects of the design process.

Best Design Event – Catwalk Circus 2011

Oscar Calvo gives a nod to the 80′s New Wave California beach culture and New York’s emerging Hip Hop scene, cleverly mixing materials like mesh and snakeskin with touches of neon colours with a unique spin, tempering the looks with black, white, and gunmetal. The use of unique accents like rope, eyelets and zipper trims completes the look and gives the collection an edgy sense of modernity.
